Do you know what psoriatic arthritis is?
It is a chronic inflammatory joint disease that affects people with a personal or family history of psoriasis.
It affects the joints and can cause pain, limitation, and functional disability to varying degrees. It evolves through flare-ups (symptom-containing crises) interspersed with periods of remission (symptom-free periods), in an unpredictable fashion. Currently, there is no cure or way to prevent it. Be aware of the following signs: pain, discomfort, swelling, or stiffness in the joints, especially in the hands, knees, ankles, and feet; morning back pain and stiffness; joint deformity; limited movement; nail problems; and fatigue.
