Osteopenia

Carpal tunnel syndrome


Carpal tunnel syndrome is the set of signs and symptoms resulting from compression of the median nerve in the area where it passes through the carpal tunnel, a passage in the wrist region, mainly affecting the dominant hand, which is related to its greater use .


However, all individuals who harbor the defective gene develop symptoms, which initially involve the lower limbs. Sensitive symptoms are usually the first to appear: tingling, electric shock-like pain, stinging, burning or heat, decreased sensitivity to temperature (cold/hot), which starts in the feet and progresses upward, gradually reaching the hands.
