Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is characterized by irreversible or partially reversible bronchial obstruction with treatment.
The main symptoms are: chronic cough and expectoration, respiratory infections, especially in winter, difficulty breathing and wheezing, and a feeling of chest tightness.
Patients over 40 years of age, smokers or those exposed to smoke or dust that are harmful to the respiratory system, who have a cough with expectoration and dyspnea (tiredness), should consult a pulmonologist to rule out this condition.
